Unlockable Sunflowers

Just like the peashooter, the sunflower has her fair share of unlockable characters. As you know, the sunflower has the lowest amount of health, but their is one particular sunflower that has a little bit more than usual. Some sunflowers do more damage than others, and some also have some elemental effects, and even some special abilities that others don't. Some might do more damage, some might hold more ammo, some might shoot faster, and some have more range than others. However, this does not only apply for the sunflower, it also applies for the other plants and zombies too! The great think about these character is that they eventually add more and more.
For the sunflowers there is the Mystic Flower, the Power Flower, the Shadow Flower, the Fire Flower, the Metal Petal, the Sun Pharaoh, and lastly, the Alien Flower. So starting off, the Mystic Flower is one of my personal favorites. The Mystic Flower fires almost as fast as you can pull the trigger button, implying that it is semi-automatic. Because she is semi-automatic, she has less ammo in each round, but each sun pulse does a lot more damage than the fully automatic sunflowers. Another awesome thing about the Mystic Flower is that she can charge up shots that will deal massive direct damage and a small amount of splash damage. The Power Flower has an elemental effect that I have not yet mentioned. If you have a character that has some form of attack that involves electricity, than it will have that electric elemental effect. If you hit an enemy and another enemy is near, it will link them together with electricity, doing a little bit smaller damage to the enemies that are linked to the main one getting hit. You could link the entire team with electricity if they were all together; there are no limits! The Shadow Flower actually looks pretty cool. Her petals are now all black with a blue outline, and her face is also blue. The special thing about the Shadow Flower is that she shoots faster than any of the other sunflowers, but because of that she has a shorter range.
The Fire Flower is like a regular sunflower, but instead she shoots fire sun pulses. The Fire Flower has the fire elemental effect that will set enemies on fire for a very short amount of time, and also doing a small amount of damage. Because of this, the Fire Flower can only shoot 30 shots per round. The Metal Petal is the sunflower that you get by leveling up. For those of you who remember, at level 10 you will unlock a particularly strong character. One thing I forgot to mention. Each character levels up separately, and not all at the same time. Each time you level up a character, you will also level up your player level. Anyway, the Metal Petal has the most health of all the sunflowers, which adds up to 150 health. A normal sunflower has 100 health, so that is a big increase. The Metal Petal also does a little more damage than an ordinary sunflower. However, because the Metal Petal is made of metal, she moves slightly slower than the other sunflower variants.
The Sun Pharaoh is a unique sunflower that you can get from the Zomboss Down DLC. (Downloadable Content) The Sun Pharaoh is a three-round-burst sunflower, meaning that it will shoot three rounds extremely fast. Because of this reason, the Sun Pharaoh will do more damage than normal. Another thing, because the Sun Pharaoh is a three-round-burst, it has a slower rate of fire. A little fun fact about the Sun Pharaoh is that there used to be a glitch (that they later fixed) that would allow the player to spam the trigger button, and after doing that the Sun Pharaoh would shoot all of her bullets at once, doing an insane amount of damage. Lastly, but most certainly not least, is one of my favorites, the Alien Flower. The Alien Flower is pretty interesting. She is also a semi-automatic sunflower that has a very low ammo capacity, but because of this she does high amounts of damage. After you shoot with the Alien Flower, wherever that bullet goes, it will leave what's called spore mist around. If an enemy stands in or around the spore mist, they will start to receive small amounts of damage at a very fast pace. It helps if you shoot the enemy because the spore mist will stick around where the bullet went. That is all for the sunflowers, next time you will hear about the chompers. Until then!
